Hitting the Road
Let today be the start of something new…
After 10 years in the sunshine state the time has come to head back to the cool waters of the pacific.
These last few days have been full of wonderful friends, lots of laughs and tears. My sister flew in to help me pack out, with just a few more things than I had five years ago. While to process had a few bumps in the road I could not have done it without the help of those friends who showed up to help me load up my POD. We danced, and Andrei sang, and we finished out the day with some great drinks and even more laughs.
The Mixed Nuts Cycling crew showed up to send me off, it was hard to say goodbye. This group took me in, they showed me the ropes, they allowed me to excel and cheered me on the entire time. I am forever grateful for the friendships forged with this bike family, and for one final spin under the bright blue Miami sky.
My last two nights were spent with Ballerina Emily. This woman was my rock during the crazy year that was 2020, and could not have asked for a better send off. I am grateful for a friend who reminds me that we can still have slumber parties in our 30’s (even if we fall asleep at 10:00pm), and for puppy kisses in the morning. She made sure the my final Miami day was complete with a beach day, an evening of dance and a sunrise beach walk with her and the pups. She made my final day in Miami one that I will never forget.
A final stop for breakfast with my incredible Brazilian friends Nathalia and Andrei. A beautiful lunch with Michelle and then it was off for my first stop. West Palm Beach, FL. with Kathleen and Andy.
